THE O'SHAUGHNESSY'S
WOMEN OF SUBSTANCE SERIES
AT THE COLLEGE OF ST. CATHERINE

Celebrating over ten substantial years, the Women of Substance series was founded in 1996 to encourage ordinary women to find their voice and place on life's stage. The series, which hosts local and national artists, continually reminds audience members of both genders the importance of living lives of substance.

In the past decade the Women of Substance Series had presented over 120 events featuring more than 75 different artists. The concept has grown with enthusiastic audiences and broad media appeal. With over 21,000 patrons during the 10th anniversary Women of Substance season alone, The O'Shaughnessy is proudly the second largest theatrical venue in the city of St. Paul.

A demonstrated asset for the College of St. Catherine, the O'Shaughnessy has attracted over 100,000 patrons annually from as far away as the United Kingdom to as close as the Highland Park neighborhood. The auditorium has received public praise for it's diverse programming, and is experiencing a Renaissance as it embarks on its second decade of substantial programming.
