THE O'SHAUGHNESSY'S
WOMEN OF SUBSTANCE SERIES
AT THE COLLEGE OF ST. CATHERINE
Celebrating ten substantial years this fall, the Women of Substance series was founded in 1996 to encourage ordinary women to find their voice and place on life's stage. The series, which hosts local and national artists, continually reminds audience members of both genders the importance of living lives of substance. In the past decade the Women of Substance Series had presented over 100 events featuring more than 65 different artists. The concept has grown with enthusiastic audiences and broad media appeal. Nearly 20,000 people are projected to attend the 10th anniversary Women of Substance events at The O'Shaughnessy, the second largest theatrical venue in the city of St. Paul.
A demonstrated asset for the College, attracting over 100,000 patrons annually from the Twin Cities area to the Highland Park neighborhood recently renovated, receiving public praise for it's diverse programming, and an important member of the St. Paul Arts Community, The O'Shaughnessy is experiencing a Renaissance.
