Originally constructed in the 1970s, The O'Shaughnessy has benefitted from several upgrades including new main floor seats, lighting, disability accommodations, and renovated dressing rooms and greenroom.
Please note: St. Catherine University is a tobacco-free campus. There is no smoking allowed on university grounds, including at The O'Shaughnessy.

- A full-time House Manager is here to assist you with your front-of-house merchandise and concessions needs. We staff well-trained ushers to assist in greeting your guests and helping them to their seats.
- A versatile ticket office on premises that processes orders in-person, on the phone, or online with convenient hours of operation:
Monday - Saturday, 12:00pm - 7pm and in-person one hour prior to events.- Professional assistance with all back-of-house needs. We are able to provide references for auxiliary equipment and are willing to answer questions and give advice concerning all your technical needs. The O'Shaughnessy is proud to be a union hall.

Base rent is quoted as "four wall" (The O'Shaughnessy stage, Greenroom, and Dressing Rooms) rental only. Base rent does not include use of Scene Shop, Costume Shop, Frey Theater, or Recital Hall. Base rent includes the following services:
TIME IN FACILITY
A four-consecutive-hour period for performance and load-out, and an additional four-consecutive-hour period for load-in/setup/rehearsal on the day of the performance. (An hourly rate is applied to any fraction over the 4-hour minimum).
MARKETING
Poster distribution around campus is available with permission from the Ticket Office Manager. Materials (i.e. fliers, posters) may be dropped off during Ticket Office Hours (Monday - Saturday, 12:00pm - 5:00pm). Events will be posted on The O'Shaughnessy website at the discretion of the Ticket Office Manager. User shall provide the auditorium with two copies of all press materials in advance of release and shall notify the Ticket Office Manager of advertising and promotion schedules pertaining to the event.
PRODUCTION/LABOR
The O'Shaughnessy is a Union house. A labor estimate can be provided after reviewing your technical requirements. Stagehands bill at $27/hour and Stage Manager bills at $28/hour. Production and labor fees include house sound, house lighting, and overhead costs.EQUIPMENT USAGE FEE
12% of a client's total stage labor bill will be charged as an equipment usage fee.
Non-profit organizations recieve a discounted usage fee of 10%

The O'Shaughnessy Auditorium provides a knowledgable and friendly front-of-house staff including a House Manager, Floor Supervisors, and Ushers. Trained O'Shaughnessy volunteers may be used to augment this staff. A custodian is also staffed during events to maintain housekeeping in the lobby, restrooms, and other common areas.
