The show that has taken the world by storm makes it's Minnesota debut. Written and performed by Rick Miller, this one-man vocal spectacular features over 50 voices from TV's favorite dysfunctional family The Simpson's, in a hilarious multi-media performance of Shakespeare's bloodiest tragedy Macbeth. In a script which remains 85% Shakespeare, MacHomer is hysterically funny and amazing to watch!
Born out of a ten-minute skit for a cast party, Miller has created a rare jewel - an educational and entertaining show - that attracts audiences of all ages, backgrounds and languages. He has performed MacHomer to capacity crowds and won ovations, rave reviews, and awards in Edinburgh, Scotland; London, England; Auckland, New Zealand; and Melbourne, Australia.
Rick Miller was trained in Montreal as an architect, actor, and singer. As the Artistic Director of WYRD Productions, he has created and performed the award-winning shows Art?, Slightly Bent, Into the Ring (with playwright Dawson Nichols) and Bigger Than Jesus (co-created with Daniel Brooks). He has also worked with internationally renowned director Robert Lepage on the plays La Géométrie des Miracles and Zulu Time as well as the film Possible Worlds. He lives in Toronto with his wife, Stephanie Baptist.
