Fall Performance: Moving Works
Moving Works brings to the stage a program created to challenge the boundaries of contemporary ballet with an explosion of expression through music and motion. Protective Coloring for Pointe and Cello features effervescent Sally Rousse in the shoes and exceptional Laura Sewell with the bow. Add to the ticket a World Premier of new work with music by The Bad Plus, the hippest new international jazz group on the planet, and you've got an edgy and compelling evening of dance.
Spring Performance:
James Sewell Ballet returns to the O'Shaughnessy to welcome in SPRING and the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth with the incredible pianist Tadeusz Majewski, Aristic Director of the Chopin Society, accompanying the dancers on piano. Good Mourning returns, an elegiac tribute to the passage of loved ones. Plus new solo works that put the spotlight on the remarkable talents of Sewell's incredible dancers.
